Overview:
- Responsible for the provision of high level support to:
- the development of organ and tissue related services;
- the implementation and maintenance of the regulatory function of the unit relating to oversight of Schools of Anatomy; and
- the strategic management of programs and projects relating to the supply and use of blood and blood products.
- These functions will result in the development of related State-wide policies and programs that support good clinical practice, optimal use of generously donated blood, organs and tissues and fulfil State Government obligations under national agreements and relevant legislation.
For PO4:
- The incumbent will also provide advice to the unit, the Department or other stakeholders in areas relating to health science and related areas, as requested.
Appointment to classification will be based upon qualifications / skills / experience.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- A flexible approach to the taking of leave is required.
- Some after-hours work may be required.
- Intra and Interstate travel may be required to attend inter-jurisdictional committees and other industry events
