The role
We have an opportunity for a Production Manager to join our team based at Rocklea, Queensland. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager QLD/PNG, you will provide operational support and implement various operational improvement projects that assist the operations function to operate in a safe and efficient manner in line with the business’s objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assist the operations function to achieve high standards of efficiency and productivity
- Assist with the implementation of relevant systems, procedures, and processes relevant to the operations function
- Assist the operations function with the supervision of personnel, ensuring tasks are performed in an efficient and safe manner
- Assist with end-of-month stocktake activities, inventory control, and productivity analysis
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health, Environment and Community Systems
- Actively foster compliance with quality requirements in line with relevant standards and guidelines for self and team
- Actively participate in Operations-based continuous improvement initiatives to facilitate the achievement of broader company and business unit objectives
- Coordinate the logistics for transporting stock between sites in Queensland and assist with bulk export operations.
About you:
- Demonstrated ability to lead others in a safety-oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you quickly build rapport with colleagues and customers
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to achieve outcomes in line with budgetary and timeframe requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Operations, or Business will be highly advantageous
