About the role
We are currently recruiting a Program/Project Coordinator to join the Major Projects team . This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint throughout NSW, but with a preference for the Port Macquarie area.
The successful candidate will support the project/program delivery team and the Major Projects Manager by providing governance, reporting, quality assurance, risk and issues management, project administration, and resource and materials management.
This role is crucial in ensuring that both Essential Energy and customer-funded network investment programs and projects adhere to committed time frames and applicable processes.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain and review program/project information and ensure trends and potential risks to timelines, outcomes and benefits are identified and escalated
- Prepare consolidated material from program reports for input to presentations for management review
- Financial analysis,
- Coordinate, collate and analyse data, including the identification of exceptions, preparing timely reports for management on status and business readiness for change
- Coordinate and accurately record project and program level activities into business systems to assist with the timely and efficient issue of information and reporting requirements Develop and maintain business partnerships with relevant stakeholders to assist in the development, implementation and management of initiatives to ensure delivery of the specific activities within required timeframes
About You
You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, including entry level project or change activities along with experience in maintaining accurate records in business systems, logistics coordination, procurement, and balancing priorities to meet deadlines.
You are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for project coordination. You thrive in dynamic environments and have a proven track record of supporting project/program delivery teams to achieve their goals.
Your high-level interpersonal skills allow you to build and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders, and you are proficient in computer operations and business systems relevant to the role, such as Oracle (ERP), MS Office, MS Project, and SharePoint. You have a knack for acquiring, collating, analysing, and presenting data and trends, and you are always thinking and acting innovatively.

- Strong communication and customer services skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people and handle all types of stakeholder and customer enquiries.
- High level interpersonal skills to maintain close relationships with relevant stakeholders and communicate requirements effectively Time management techniques and organisational skills with the ability to meet business targets, perform under pressure and prioritise a complex and varied workload.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Project Management Practice OR Demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
Desirable
- Project management certification/experience
- Change management certification/experience
