In this role, you'll:

Work as part of the Regional Road Network team developing and delivering bridge maintenance projects across Southwestern NSW.

 

Establish a pipeline of work for a number of direct control bridge crews as well as scheduling and managing contractor works.

 

Be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, providing engineering support from the development phase all the way through to delivery completion and handover.

 

Manage the cost estimates, procuring and overseeing of service providers, suppliers and consultants as well as monitoring and reviewing an ongoing work program.

 

Travel across the region is required as you will be inspecting current works and maintaining a high level of WH&S, environmental management and quality on projects.

 

This is a temporary full time opportunity until 30/06/2027 and is based in Wagga Wagga so the need to live in the region is essential and some relocation compensation will be supported.

About you

You will be able to effectively problem-solve and communicate with internal and external stakeholders including contractors to deliver timely outcomes on task requirements. 

 

A natural multitasker able to prioritise workloads, manage risk and deliver project outcomes.

 

Ideally, you will have a passion for bridge maintenance and construction.

 

Experience and an understanding of Environmental Assessments.

 

Be comfortable with collaboration, can seek advice to resolve issues and discuss projects with direct controlled workforce.

 

You're experience in the preparation of estimates, job programs, project delivery briefs and WH&S management plans, quality, environmental, and traffic management plans will see your success in this role.

 

Finally, you hold a four-year civil engineering degree and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and be willing to travel and work outside normal working hours.
