About the role
As our next Project Manager, you’ll steer complex live-environment projects from tender through to handover. You’ll own the vision, master the programme and nurture the client relationship, adjusting the plan as conditions shift to uncover opportunity and manage risk. Think of it as running your own business unit—backed by a collaborative crew that has your back every step of the way.
Responsibilities include:
- Shape and drive project strategy, schedule and budget—always hunting value for client and company.
- Administer the head contract, letting schedule and all subcontract/supply agreements.
- Lead a high-performing site and contract team, championing safety, quality and McNab’s “genuinely care” culture.
- Engage regularly with clients, consultants and suppliers so that expectations, contract conditions and compliance are crystal-clear.
- Spot challenges early, pivot quickly and turn obstacles into wins—whether technical, commercial or people-related.
About you
- Proven success as a Project Manager on remediation, refurbishment or complex live-environment works.
- Deep technical and commercial knowledge of Australian building codes and remediation best practice.
- A leadership style that blends high performance with genuine care—coaching, mentoring and backing your people to thrive.
- Confident head-contract administration skills and a knack for cost control, cashflow and negotiation.
- Relationship-first mindset: you invest time in subcontractors and suppliers so everyone lifts to the same standard.
- Bonus points for Jobpac and Procore fluency, tertiary quals in Construction Management/Quantity Surveying and a solid grasp of BIFSOPA.
