About the Role:
Clinical Forensic Medical Services (CFMS) is a specialised forensic unit within CHS providing medical services in matters involving sexual assault, domestic violence, deaths, persons in custody, and specialised police procedures. This work involves highly sensitive and often traumatic material, requiring all staff to hold AFP security clearance and undergo psychological screening. CFMS is the only forensic unit in Australia managing the full spectrum of forensic cases and has a unique opportunity to strengthen service provision and embed research as core business.
This project-focused role will lead the development and implementation of secure data systems, digitisation initiatives, and research activities to improve service delivery and inform policy. The position supports staff training, maintains key partnerships, and promotes the publication of research findings.
This position is a full-time Canberra Health Services appointment for a one-year term. The successful applicant will be based at Canberra Hospital within Canberra Health Services.
