Position Overview
A family in Alice Springs is seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced Qualified Nanny to provide childcare and light household support. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children, while assisting with household routines to support the family’s day-to-day needs.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Duties
- Provide attentive, nurturing care to children according to family preferences.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities (educational, creative, and recreational).
- Assist with children’s daily routines, including meals, dressing, school drop-offs/pickups, and homework support.
- Ensure children’s safety, wellbeing, and development are prioritised.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for learning and growth.
Household Duties (as agreed)
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children (and occasionally the household).
- Maintain tidiness in children’s areas (playrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen).
- Assist with light household chores such as laundry and general organisation.
- Grocery shopping or errands as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III/Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Nannying, or equivalent (preferred).
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- Current Working With Children Check (Ochre Card – NT requirement).
- Police Clearance.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in nannying, childcare, or related role.
- Valid Driver’s Licence with safe driving record.
