This role involves leading site compliance, maintaining and extending NATA accreditation, managing audits, developing and monitoring quality, safety, and environmental systems, overseeing LIMS development and rollout, and coordinating new projects as directed by the GM.

ALTSA: Quality Manager

Due to growing demand, we have a vacancy for a Quality Manager.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, your duties would include but not be limited to:

NATA Become the resident expert on all things NATA, TGA and Safety Maintaining existing accreditations for the site and specific tests,

Drive compliance and achieve NATA accreditation for additional tests targeted by the GM, Coordinate NATA/TGA/safety training.Quality & Safety Systems Collaborate with Lab Managers to ensure a consistent approach across all labs (e.g. CofA’s, staff training, calibration verifications, validations),

Planning/training/ coordinating internal audits/ management reviews/Incident Reports and continual improvement across all labs. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in laboratory quality management & legal compliance for quality/safety/TGA/NATA.

Investigate and address any issues or complaints related to the quality of laboratory services.LIMS system Develop & overview entire system in coordination with the IT & Business Systems Officer, Coordinate rollout of system for every lab in collaboration with Lab managers

Monitor training and actively addressing problems. Actively drive improvement & ultimately achieve full implementation of Online Sample Request System in all labs and train customers in its use.

Continual Improvement Contribute and be actively involved in investigating potential new tests Develop/implement new tests

Continual improvement of processes Efficiency improvements and actively looking for cost savings.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you must have:

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Ideally a science degree or similar but not essential.

NATA training and internal auditor training.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Similar role particularly with regards ensuring NATA compliance. Ideally commercial laboratory experience or at least NATA lab experience.

LIMS experience or similar.

Strong IT skills.

Internal audits.

Project management.

Collaborations and influencing others to drive a consistent approach to systems.

Involvement in continual improvement activities.

Well regarded: Bachelor of Chemistry. Prior experience in a commercial lab environment.

Prior experience in the agricultural industry or environmental related area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
