We are currently looking for a:
Raging Waters Sydney - Retail Team Leader
About the role:
A Retail Team Leader is responsible for coordinating a team to deliver exceptional customer service and to perform duties to the highest possible standard within the Retail Department.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and motivate team members to achieve a high standard of sales execution for In Park Services, High Tide Store, and any other Raging Waters Sydney Retail Outlets.
  • Ensure all guests flow through the Retail departments as efficiently as possible to maintain the highest quality guest service throughout the purchasing process.
  • Ensure correct fee is collected from all guests while maintaining the highest quality guest service and maximising revenue.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed correctly.
  • Ensure team members are following scheduled days by implementing regular rotations from positions as well as scheduling breaks.
  • Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent guest service and to promote a positive working environment.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork to maintain correct record-keeping processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of service and products and distribute promotional flyers as required.
  • Ensure the Retail Outlets are professionally always presented, including displays, whilst maintaining stock levels.
  • Ensure systems, process and practices are in place to enable team members to effectively discharge their roles.
  • Investigate transaction variances and communicate to the finance department with valid justification.
  • Partake in decision making around all elements of the Retail.
  • Report any issues that may affect the Retail department operations immediately.
  • Supervise the Retail team to ensure all operations are performed whilst maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of all service and products.
  • To be a Retail Team Member as required.
  • Responsible for assisting with area cleanliness including sweeping, rubbish pick-up, emptying bins, maintaining birthday & cabana areas and work areas.
  • To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Retail Coordinator, General Manager, or member of the Management Team.
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
  • Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
  • Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
  • Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
  • Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.
Requirements
Languages: Fluent English

Experience:
  • Experience in Retail Sales.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
  • Experience in point-of-sale systems.
Relationships
Internal: General Manager / Facilities / Finance / Food & Beverage / Operations / People & Culture /Guest Experience/ Sales & Marketing.
External: Guests/ Contractors / Suppliers / Business Partners.
Organization

  • Ability to work flexible working hours including but not limited to weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season.
  • Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct policy.
  • Represent the Company well internally and externally; convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates.
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions including sun and rain, hot and cold climates, indoor and outdoor work.
  • To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Direct Manager, General Manager, or any member of the Management Team.
  • Adhere to the Employee Handbook content and requirements.
Smoking in the workplace is allowed in designated smoking areas only permitted by the applicable legislation of the jurisdiction.
You are required to be physically fit, physical requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Walking, Carrying ,Lifting, Reaching,Bending,Pushing,Pulling,Squatting,Sitting,Standing,Twisting,Repetitious movement
Team member benefits:

Pay Conditions:
This is a casual position from October to April, with the need to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays during the season.
Must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season 15 December 2025 to 1 February 2026.
The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award.
Retail Team Leader aged 20 years or older are paid at a Grade 5 hourly rate of $29 per hour plus 25% casual loading ($36.25per hour includes casual loading).
Different rates apply for applicants 19 years of age and under.
Penalty rates apply for Sundays and Public Holidays.

Additional Information:
There are three requirements to be a team member at Raging Waters Sydney. This includes Right to Work in Australia, Working with Children Check and National Crime Check. If you are a successful applicant, you will need to obtain these credentials prior to commencing work.
