We are currently looking for a:
Raging Waters Sydney - Slide Inspector
About the role:
A Slide Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, documenting findings, and reporting safety issues across water attractions. This is an entry level position for individuals aged 18 and above. Full training is provided. Slide Inspectors play a vital role in ensuring the safe and clean operation of all slides and related attractions.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test water attractions as per daily checklists and inspection criteria.
  • Complete logbooks, inspection forms, and digital records with accuracy.
  • Report safety concerns, defects, or maintenance issues immediately.
  • Follow all inspection procedures outlined by the Company.
  • Assist with pressure washing and cleaning of slide surfaces and towers.
  • Support general park upkeep including pathways, bins, seating, and shade structures.
  • Participate in water quality checks (training provided).
  • Attend team meetings and WHS briefings regularly.
  • Use personal protective equipment and follow all WHS policies.
  • Assist other Facilities and Park departments as needed.
  • Work under minimal supervision as required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
  • Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
  • Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
  • Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
  • Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.
Requirements
Education:
Essential
  • Attraction Inspection Essentials Training (provided by Raging Waters Sydney)
Desirable
  • Manual Handling Training
  • Confined space training
  • Working at Heights training
  • Manual Drivers Licence
  • Forklift licence
Languages: Fluent English
Skills:
  • Basic communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Physically fit and capable of climbing towers and working outdoors.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in varied weather and guest conditions.
Experience:
  • No prior experience necessary training provided.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work flexible working hours including but not limited to weekends, early morning starts (from 5am as late as 9pm), evenings and public holidays.

  • Be able to work in all weather conditions including sun and rain, hot and cold climates, indoor and outdoor work.

Smoking in the workplace is allowed in designated smoking areas only permitted by the applicable legislation of the jurisdiction.

Pay Conditions:
This is a casual position from October to April, with the need to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays during the season.
Must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season 15 December 2025 to 1 February 2026.
The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award. Slide Inspector aged 20 years or older are paid at a Grade 3 hourly rate of $33.38 per hour (includes casual loading).
  • Different rates apply for applicants 19 years of age and under
  • Penalty rates apply for Sundays and Public Holidays.
Successful applicants will have the ability to discuss the option as temporary part time. Different rates would apply.

Additional Information:
There are three requirements to be a team member at Raging Waters Sydney. This includes Right to Work in Australia, Working with Children Check and National Crime Check. If you are a successful applicant, you will need to obtain these credentials prior to commencing work.
