About the role
As the Ranger Team Leader, you will be an enthusiastic leader and team player, working in the unique Albert Park. You will be responsible for delivering a range of open space parkland maintenance to the high-quality standards we pride ourselves on. You will report to the Area Chief Ranger and provide on ground leadership for the Horticulture/Arboriculture works in park management. You will be expected to be competent in horticulture/arboriculture practices and be ready to cross over office admin and on ground works.
We're looking for someone with:
- A tertiary or technical qualification in horticulture/arboriculture or similar is preferable
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a horticultural/arboricultural team
- A knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in the management of public parks or amenity trees would be an advantage
- Demonstrated practical skills and experience in the maintenance and operation of large broad acre maintenance machinery, small equipment and tools for horticulture/arboricultural maintenance.
