Reception Attendant (Pet Boarding)

We’re now looking for a dedicated, hands-on Casual Reception Attendant to join our passionate Heathcote Pet Hotel team in Sydney’s Southern Suburbs.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be cross-trained across all areas of our pet hotel – from caring for our four-legged guests to providing friendly customer service at reception.
You’ll have opportunities to develop your skills, learn new aspects of the business, and progress your career within our national network.
What’s on offer:
- Casual role – seven-day roster (hours varying each week, Thursday and Friday availability is a preferred)

What you’ll be doing:
- Welcoming pets & their owners into the Pet Hotel
- Checking our furry guests in and out
- Taking accurate notes of their individual/special requests
- Managing the phones to take bookings and answer telephone enquiries
- Promote retail sales of the best products to suit each individual pet/owner's needs
- Running front-of-house reception and general administration duties
- Providing excellent customer service
- Continually finding ways of improving the customer experience
- Maintaining high-quality guest services, including keeping owners up to date during their pet's stay
What we’re looking for:
- 3-5 years’ reception experience in fast-paced role
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally
- Strong computing and administration skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems
- Availability to work peak periods including public holidays, Christmas, Easter and school holiday periods
- Confident handling pets of all sizes, with a calm and caring approach
- Reliable transport (there is no public transport servicing our location during operating hours)
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in hotel / pet hotel environment
- Experience working with animals
Please note: This is a physically active role requiring the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and handle animals up to 50kg. A Pre-Employment Medical Disclosure will be required to ensure you can safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.
