Within the Supply Chain Planning team, the Regional Planning Manager has the responsibility to manage strategic inventory management and demand planning within the region to secure that the divisional Inventory and Availability targets are reached in the region of your responsibility. You will develop a team that implements and manages the inventory optimization and demand planning processes for the region, in collaboration with the Regional Supply Chain organization, CCs, PCs and Global S&OP organization.
Specific tasks and responsibilities
- Set inventory and availability targets for CCs and DCs in the region and monitor implementation of improvement initiatives, in collaboration with Regional Supply Chain organizations and Customer Centers.
- Responsible for inventory, availability, and obsolescence KPIs performance and follow-up in the region.
- Secure that the global process for assortment and inventory optimization methodology is followed in the region.
- Decide, maintain, and optimize the stocking assortment per region (in collaboration with Customer Centers and the Regional Supply Chain organization of the region).
- Approval of Stocking policy adjustments
- Decide on assortment allocation within the region: which parts at LDC, which parts at RDC
- Manage the stocking request process in the region.
- Secure that the Demand Planning process is followed in the region.
- Support CCs in the local Demand Planning process.
- Manage consolidation of regional demand plans.
- Manage the coordination and preparation for regional planning meetings.
- Approve regional demand plan for reporting to Global S&OP.
- Lead and develop the RGD Regional Planning organization (hiring, training, onboarding, coaching).
- Manage the regional planning team and coach the team in the delivery of the inventory and availability goals and objectives.
Formal knowledge and experience needed:
- Experience in planning and forecasting in a global environment.
- Experience in end-to-end Supply Chain management involving Distribution, Inventory management, and Project management.
- Background in consumable business at Epiroc or equivalent industries
- Experience of project management and implementing changes in a global organization
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and written. Additional language will be preferred.
- University degree in Economics/Business Administration, Supply chain/Logistics, Marketing or Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
- At least 10 years in Global Supply Chain management.

- Within your area of responsibility, you are responsible for the compliance with the regulations, routines and instructions in the management system regarding work environment.
- Authority to allocate resources for work environment within your financial framework according to prokura.
- Approve stocking requests to add items as per prokura.
- Approve scrapping of stock as per prokura.
- Identify, propose, and implement process improvements in alignment with global process owner.
- Plan and decide resource allocation and competence development activities within the team.
- Take actions to improve availability and inventory.
- Take actions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Adjust forecast in the planning system based on business intelligence within regional responsibility.
- Initiate and approve redistribution of inventory between warehouse locations within your region
