Location: Queanbeyan, based at Queanbeyan court registry with Registrar responsibility for Cooma and Yass Court.

Employment Type: Full time ongoing or 12-month temporary opportunity (negotiable with successful applicant).

Salary: from $99,938 pa to $110,271 pa + super and leave loading


Your role

This role will be responsible for a team to deliver high quality and professional services to clients.

The role requires someone who is willing to undertake travel to locations within the Queanbeyan Hub [Queanbeyan, Cooma, Yass and Goulburn].

The role is based at Queanbeyan court, with regular travel to Cooma and Yass to support the Court and to provide relief at Goulburn.

This role will allow the successful applicant to work across a variety of locations, building skills, capabilities and relationships.

What you’ll do

Leading the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing, developing and motivating staff in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Work across a variety of locations, building rapport with many different staff members
  • Adapt to being in a variety of different places and roles in multiple locations
  • Implementing procedures and training to ensure staff are adequately equipped to ensure best practices and standards are provided to clients
  • Constantly implementing processes and procedures which are always up to date with legislation
  • Adapting to work in different jurisdictions
  • Supervising the team, this role will promote a positive working environment that values ethical behaviour and good performance whilst meeting statutory and administrative obligations.
  • As a member of the Queanbeyan leadership team, supporting the wellbeing of staff.

What we’re looking for

Capacity to work in an environment that may involve potential exposure to psychosocial hazards related to the range of services provided in a court environment. Click here for more Information about accepting a role within Court Services.

Circuit and relieving staff are required to possess a current Drivers Licence, be flexible and be willing to travel at short notice, including overnight stays.

Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team in a fast-paced environment

Candidates who are driven and process focussed with the ability to adapt to working in different jurisdictions.
