McAuley Community Services for Women helps women and children who have faced family violence and homelessness to take control of their lives. Through a range of supports including accommodation, legal, health, recreation and social responses, we support women to leave us with restored capacity and greater opportunities for safe housing, economic capability and wellbeing. We work alongside women and children, recognising their strengths and fostering their resilience to create a new future.

This is a Permanent Part-Time (30.5 hours per week - 0.8 EFT) opportunity based in Footscray within our Family Violence and Homelessness Program. The position reports to the Team Leader.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate or diploma qualification in social work, community services, community development or a related field.
- Commitment to McAuley values; Community, Hospitality, Compassion and Justice.
- Demonstrated ability to work with women and children facing a range of complex challenges in relation to family violence, homelessness, health and mental health, drug and alcohol use, trauma, and marginalisation.
- The ability to apply a flexible, inclusive, non-judgmental, and empowering approach to practice and service delivery.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills including engagement and collaboration with a range of services and stakeholders.
- Understanding of the principles of feminism, intersectionality and anti-oppression as both practice and organisational culture foundations.

- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
