And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always, with a focus on safety – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces. A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Resource Planner to join our Workforce Planning team.

In this role, you will play a key role in the effective rostering of Ground Crew to meet operational requirements and on-time roster publishing. You will provide information to relevant stakeholders to improve the resource management process, including advice on skills shortages and resource opportunities on-time performance, and optimal productivity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure equality, fairness, transparency, and procedural compliance of allocating team members to shifts
  • Ensure data in the roster system is accurate to actual work performed and meets requirements of Ground Crew Agreements and applicable Award conditions
  • On time publishing of rosters every roster period as per the Ground Crew Agreements and to the quality agreed to with airport management
  • Allocate crew leave requests within specified timeframes and report of leave offered at roster publish to Airport Management
  • Maintain effective relationships with Airside and Guest Services standards, training, and quality assurance teams, airports, and project teams

This is a maximum term opportunity

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Experience in understanding of rostering and resource planning processes, theories, and methodologies
  • Intermediate Computer skills including Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience in applying Industrial, regulatory rules or enterprise agreements within a business
  • A high level of prioritisation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to ‘think outside the box’ and to work within multiple/conflicting time constraints.

What you’ll get from us:

We’re committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to):

  • Heavily discounted air travel for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year)
  • Flexible working arrangements (including work hours and work from home)
  • Discounts on travel insurance, car hire, accommodation and experiences worldwide
  • Discounted Virgin Australia Lounge membership
