Thirty 7even dining is seeking a versatile and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an All-Rounder, supporting both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, exceptional customer service skills, and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
Front-of-House (FOH):
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, addressing any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring adherence to presentation standards and quality specifications.
- Assist with table set-up, including arranging utensils, napkins, and condiments to create an inviting dining environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the FOH area, including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, processing payments and providing guests with receipts.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to relay customer feedback, special requests, and order modifications.
- Coffee and wine making (Experience preferred but not essential)
Back-of-House (BOH):
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Follow standard recipes and preparation techniques to ensure consistency and quality in food production.
- Support kitchen operations by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils in a timely manner and maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area.
- Stock and organise inventory items, including food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of perishable items and compliance with hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with chefs and cooks to ensure efficient workflow and timely execution of orders during peak service hours.
- Assist with routine kitchen maintenance tasks, such as equipment cleaning, rubbish disposal, and recycling initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to assist colleagues across different departments.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively to meet operational needs.
- Physical stamina and endurance to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods.
- RSA certificate
- Wine knowledge
- Barista skill / cocktail making skill is a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $25.00 – $30.35 per hour
