About the opportunity
As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.
Role details:
- Pay rate $27.04 / hour increases to $28.91/ hour after approx. 3 months, + 12% Superannuation
- Permanent Part Time position working 15 hours per week: 3 hours per day, rotating roster Monday to Saturday
- Relief team members will be assigned shifts at various Post Offices within a specific area, so you must be willing to work at the following locations: Chatswoo, Crows Nest, Epping, Lane Cove, Macquarie Centre, Mostman Post Shop, Neutral Bay Junction Post Shop, North Sydney Post Shop, Pennant Hill Post Shop, Spit Junction Post Shop, and Willoughby Post Shop
You’ll be
- Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace.
- Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes.
- Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.
About you
- You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously.
- You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community.
- Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.
- Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
