The Sales Development Representative Role
The Sales Development Representative is assigned to multiple sellers to support enterprise accounts identified by Qlik as accounts in a territory that are either current customers or target customers, with the highest potential future value in the market. The role is part of an account team, with the primary responsibility of creating relationships and identifying potential customer needs to generate pipeline through leads and opportunities within the accounts.
What makes this role interesting?
- Outbound identification/development and inbound follow-up on of land and expand opportunities within assigned accounts
- Assigned to multiple sellers to support their enterprise accounts
- Involvement in strategic account planning activities
- May be dedicated to a subset of accounts (e.g., Fed, Sled, OEM)
- Partner with the sales team to create relationships with existing customers, identifying their potential needs and assist in developing a business case
- Move solid leads through the funnel, connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls
- Maintain a pipeline of early-stage leads
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
- Maintain activities and related data in CRM system (Salesforce)
- Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs.
- Build relationships with customers and assess future business needs
- Attend (where necessary) networking events, trade shows, webinars etc. to build relationships and generate leads
- Achieve goals by qualifying leads and identifying needs that can be addressed by Qlik products; passes lead to appropriate sales resources
- Incorporate feedback from the Demand Center leaders and sales team to review and revise qualification criteria over time
We’re looking for a teammate with:
- 2 years + experience in business development, sales or related field experience
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience
- Experience researching, account planning, and prospecting into a list of accounts
- Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent achievement of year-over-year quota attainment
