About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled SAP BASIS Administrator to join a high-performing Platform Support team and play a critical role in ensuring system stability, security, and performance of the SAP landscape through expert administration, proactive monitoring, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Senior ERP Manager, you will manage and support a complex SAP landscape across ECC, NetWeaver Portal, ABAP/Java dual-stack systems, Fiori, SAP CRM and SAP BW.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- SAP Landscape Support
- Provide end-to-end support for SAP ECC, NetWeaver Portal, ABAP/Java stacks, Fiori, SAP CRM and SAP BW.
- Act as the technical liaison regarding platform issues and user support.
- Manage Transport Management System across Dev, QA, and Prod environments.
- Manage Data and Document Archiving in SAP systems.
- Resolve issues including job failures, system dumps, login errors, and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain RFC destinations, web services, SSL/SAML/SSO setups, and SAP certificate renewals.
- Incident, Change & Documentation
- Manage incidents and service requests, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Apply OSS Notes, coordinate with SAP support for escalations and patch deployments.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and support audit compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Availability
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams.
Please note that this role requires some on-call availability. The successful candidate must be willing to respond to urgent issues that may arise outside of regular working hours during scheduled on-call periods.
This role offers the flexibility to be based in either Brisbane (Strathpine) or Sydney (Rhodes), with a hybrid work model.
About you
We're seeking someone with an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. To be successful in this role, you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer focus and the ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, and resolve conflicts.
In addition, you will bring:
- Extensive SAP BASIS Experience with proven track record in managing SAP ECC, NetWeaver Portal, SAP BW, Fiori and SAP CRM landscapes.
- Transport Management and System Upgrades: Expertise in TMS, system refreshes, kernel upgrades, and patching.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Ability to proactively monitor and resolve issues (job failures, dumps, RFC errors, performance bottlenecks).
- Incident and Change Management: Skilled in using ITSM tools for managing tickets, changes, and documentation.
- Desirable: SAP Basis Certification/s and familiarity with the retail IT environment and the associated business-technology issues, ideally in a large corporate environment.
