ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Location: Multiple sites including Port Melbourne, Nunawading and SERC Docklands
- Full-Time Reliever Position
- Monday – Sunday 24/7 roster shift work
- Pay rate at level 4 VICEBA
- Previous Control Room Operator experience in security is essential.
- Must have a Control Room Operator endorsement on the Security licence
Wilson Security is expanding in the VIC, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the region.
This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.
These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate computer systems effectively to manage a range of gatehouse and access control duties
- Monitor site activities through CCTV and maintain a high level of vigilance at all times
- Ensure the safety and security of all personnel, contractors, and visitors by enforcing site rules and procedures
- Prepare accurate incident reports and follow up on required actions in a timely manner
- Maintain clear and professional communication using two-way radios and other systems
- Carry out additional duties as required to support overall site security and operations
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Australian Citizen or hold full working rights in Australia
- Valid Victorian Security Licence with First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Flexibility to travel across up to three NBN sites as required
- Control Room Operator endorsement on Security Licence, with proven experience in control room operations
- Prior experience in the security industry, ideally with exposure to NBN or similar critical infrastructure sites
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to engage professionally with all stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of computer literacy, with the ability to operate security, monitoring, and access control systems
