We are seeking a permanent, flexible full-time Senior Administration Officer to prepare correspondence and undertake simple assessments and prepare reports making recommendations concerning departmental carers and their adult household members, persons associated with licensed or funded non-government service providers (in the child safety and disability sector), adoption applicants and departmental employees.

The role requires integrity, discretion and tact in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

The CSU Senior Administration Officer Key Responsibilities Are

  • Prepare reports, correspondence and other documents as required in relation to screening matters and liaise with internal and external stakeholders within prescribed time frames.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide advice, consultancy and support to internal and external stakeholders in relation to screening policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Contribute to the development of practice and procedures for the review and analysis of departmental information in relation to the screening of applicants in a manner which is clear, concise, comprehensive and meets clients' needs.
  • Monitoring of workflow and workload management to ensure timely and accurate screening for relevant persons (departmental carers and their adult household members, persons associated with licensed, or disability services funded non-government service providers, adoption applicants and departmental staff).
  • Assist the Team Leader to supervise, train and support team members. Co-ordinate and oversight the delivery of administrative tasks.
  • Provide high level administration support to team members within the unit and interpret data and produce reports from departmental databases as required.


Delegations

This position is an authorised officer under the Child Protection Act 1999 and has a range of statutory delegations in relation to this.

These positions are aligned to the Individual Contributor profile of the Queensland Public Service Leadership competencies for Queensland. To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate capability in the areas detailed within the Role Profile.

This position reports to the Team Leader.
