Are you an experienced Change Leader looking to make a real impact in a high-profile transformation program? Join Qantas Airways as a Senior Change Manager and play a pivotal role in driving one of the largest payroll transformation initiatives in Australia, impacting over 19,000 employees.
As Senior Change Manager, you’ll lead the people change strategy for our Payroll Transformation Program - ensuring smooth adoption of new payroll systems, processes, and ways of working across the Qantas Group. Working closely with senior program leaders, you’ll shape and execute change strategies, manage stakeholders at every level, and ensure the organisation is ready to successfully transition without disruption to operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work with the sponsor and senior leaders to demonstrate visible executive sponsorship and championship of the change.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy for an organisation -wide transformation.
- Assess the change impacts, define and execute an effective change management plan.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, working with business leaders, corporate and frontline teams.
- Establish and effectively manage a representative Change Champions Network.
- Develop and implement a communications strategy and plan, including engagement campaigns and change readiness initiatives.
- Oversee the design and delivery of training and capability-building programs to support adoption.
- Manage resistance, address risks, and drive sustainable change outcomes post-implementation.
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive experience working in change management leadership roles.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex transformation programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with unionised workforces.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and engagement capability.
- Change management certification (Prosci, APMG, or similar) highly desirable.
- Background in aviation or other complex organisations in highly regulated industries advantageous.
