As the Senior Consultant, Employment Knowledge, you’ll provide expert, practical advice on employment frameworks, policies, and legislation to HR professionals and business leaders across Qantas. You’ll be responsible for interpreting and applying enterprise agreements, modern awards, and employment law, conducting legal research, and supporting the delivery of accurate, consistent guidance. This includes drafting and maintaining knowledge articles, forms, employment contracts, letters, and advisory content in collaboration with key stakeholders. You’ll also help implement and monitor processes to ensure timely, compliant outcomes, while working closely with teams across People Services to support knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
You’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, or Contract Law
- 3+ years’ experience in employment law, industrial relations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply complex industrial instruments and HR policies.
- Demonstrated experience drafting clear and practical employment advice and documents.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in aviation or a highly regulated industry (desirable).
