Opportunity Snapshot
We have an opening for a skilled professional to provide expertise and support in managing and enhancing Bupa’s first-line risk and controls function within Information Technology in the role of Senior Analyst - Cyber Risk.
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Enablement APAC, this role will be part of a three-person team, with a primary focus on cyber risk stream. This role will involve ensuring that IT risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed, while overseeing compliance with Bupa’s enterprise frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements across Bupa APAC market unit. You will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening control processes, ensuring all related responsibilities are met with a focus on compliance, assurance, and risk management.
This permanent position is offered as hybrid with flexible working, located in Sydney.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the coordination of specific risk and control activities across Cyber Risk teams to ensure consistency with approach and effective delivery of risk outcomes.
- Provide consolidated oversight of the Technology group’s compliance with ANZ MU and Group Policy and Standards, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and uplift manual capability in risk reporting to harmonise, simplify and transform our ways of delivering 1st line GRC capabilities.
- Provide oversight of regulatory change to ensure compliance and monitor the introduction of changes to policy and escalate reports of significant risk and compliance outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
To demonstrate your proficiency as a Senior Analyst - Cyber Risk we anticipate, you’ll bring 2-3 years’ experience working with Cyber Risk within a similar role in a large, complex regulated enterprise.
In addition, you’ll bring to the role:
- Academic/ professional qualifications complimented by bachelor’s in technology or similar.
- ISACA (CRISC, CISA, CISM) highly regarded.
- Strong PowerBI skills
- Excellent prioritisation capabilities with an aptitude for breaking down work into manageable parts, effectively assessing the priority and time required to complete each.
- An ability to effectively influence others to modify their opinions, plans, or behaviours.
- Commercial acumen, to understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality and efficient service to the business.
- Knowledge of industry information and technology risk management methods, standards and processes (e.g. ISO, NIST, ITIL, COBIT, CRISC, CISA, TOGAF) an advantage.
- Knowledge of compliance, audit and regulatory requirements.
- An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, in an easily understood and actionable manner.
