Key Responsibilities
- Assist tradespeople (carpenters, concreters, plumbers, electricians) with material handling, tool setup, and basic tasks
- Perform site preparation duties including excavation support, trench digging, and backfilling
- Load, unload, and transport building materials, equipment, and debris around the site
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete under supervision; set up concrete forms and reinforcements
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary fencing, and safety barriers as directed
- Sweep, clean, and organize work areas and access ways to ensure a hazard-free environment
- Dispose of waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials in accordance with site protocols
- Maintain and clean hand and power tools; report any damaged or missing equipment
- Comply with all site safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and attend toolbox talks.
- Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general labourer role or construction environment (preferred)
Safety & Compliance
- Must have white card
- Wear mandatory PPE: hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest, gloves, eye and hearing protection
- Complete site-specific inductions and periodic safety trainings
- Identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents to the site supervisor immediately
- Follow emergency procedures, evacuation routes, and first-aid protocols
Reporting & Supervision
- Report directly to the Site Supervisor or Foreman
- Collaborate closely with tradespeople and other site team members
- Provide daily progress updates on assigned tasks and any material shortages

Pay: $26.36 – $40.37 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
