Your Opportunity
- Primero is currently recruiting for SMP Supervisors to join a $1Billion EPC Project, the KCGM Growth Project in Kalgoorlie.
- Site-based and hands-on, you will be contributing to the successful delivery of the project on behalf of our client.
- You will be primarily responsible for assisting the SMP Superintendents and Construction Manager in determining priorities, meeting strict deadlines and managing crews whilst having the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- FIFO Roster: 2:1
Your Key Responsibilities
- The ability to liaise with procurement personnel for all necessary material and consumable requirements.
- The ability to read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, schematics, and any other engineering documentation and/or reports.
- The capacity to plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
- Supervise and coordinate structural, mechanical, and piping installation activities to meet project targets.
- Ensure that safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Lead daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to maintain team engagement and safety focus.
- Monitor workforce performance and provide coaching and support to ensure productivity and quality outcomes.
- Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve construction challenges and maintain project momentum.
- Conduct inspections to verify that works are completed to design and specification before handover.
What You ‘Can Do’
- Significant experience as an SMP Supervisor on Major Projects.
- Experience with managing blue collar crew and subcontractors.
- Experience in multi-discipline, mining project delivery.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings, schematics and other engineering drawings.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage performance effectively.
- Strong understanding of SMP construction methodologies and industry best practices.
- Solid knowledge of safety systems, permit to work processes, and risk assessments on large projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure, schedule-driven environment.
- Competency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
