About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Multi Agency Protection Service (MAPS) team as a Social Worker, where you will be responsible for:
- Provide high quality knowledge about gendered violence, complex trauma, risk assessments and service responses for Multi Agency Protection Service (MAPS) and contribute to the achievement of program and organisational objectives for SA Health.
- Contribute to service responsiveness that aims to improve health outcomes for people experiencing Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and work in partnership with health professionals, other departments, and community agencies
- Contribute to sector development through preparation and implementation of training to Health staff in relation to working with people experiencing DFV
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement within organisational frameworks and processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Strongly developed interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills, including the ability to foster productive working relationships across disciplines and contribute positively in a multi-disciplinary, inter-departmental team environment. Sound ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people from a broad range of backgrounds.
- Demonstrated sound understanding of the complexities in working with people experiencing DFV.
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment of risk, use of professional judgement and capacity to adhere to protocols.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic healthcare responses to support people with experiences of DFV.
