Job Title: Solutions Consultant
Reports To: VP, Global Sales
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, remote position in Australia only
This role will need to work closely with Netstock’s Sales and Marketing Teams and Channel partner teams in the USA. The Sales Engineer will provide input and guidance to the Business Development Managers (BDM) in that sales team to gather better information in preparation for the solution demonstration. They will also field various questions during and after sales demonstrations about customer specific supply chain issues and how that will be solved using the Netstock product. This specific Sales Engineer role will have a focus on the partner channel deals and therefore requires emphasis on ERP integrations and partner relationships to keep Netstock solution front of mind. They will be actively involved with Channel partners on crafting the supply chain part of the overall solution a partner is selling and at time will be required to assist on RFPs. The Sales Engineer will also need to stay close to product developments and use cases to be better equipped to guide the prospect discussions. They will also be pivotal in handing over the solution crafted for a prospect to the customer on-boarding and success teams to help ensure that customers get to the true value for the product they need.
Responsibilities
- Run demonstrations of the application displaying in-depth knowledge and understanding of the supply chain issues prospects face as well as how Netstock solves these issues - This requires expensive knowledge and understanding of supply chain as well as the Netstock product itself.
- Run workshops with partners at customers to craft the ideal supply chain solution integrated to the partner ERP solution being sold
- Run product education sessions in partner channel on the Netstock solution and how that is to be leveraged in the sales discussions the partners have.
- Assist the BDM and Marketing teams in refining problem statements and solutions.
- Perform product demonstrations and hold talks at events and conferences. Candidate will attend about 4 events per year of which some or all will require on-stand demonstrations as well as topical presentations. Candidate will also need to grow relationships into channel partner network at these events.
- Provide input to handover documents from marketing to sales team as well as from sales team to customer success teams to ensure improved handover processes.
- Assist BDMs in follow up questions and analysis required by prospects during the sales process. Generally there will be between 2 and 5 follow-up questions per customer engaged with.
- Collaborate with other Sales Engineers and sales teams on a global basis to continue to improve and refine the sales processes and results
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in successfully selling and supporting implementation for the Netstock inventory planning software
- Strong sales skills in their own right to support the sales team’s efforts in growing the customer base through a solution sell model
- Demonstrated ability to enable channel partners to sell Netstock
- Demonstrated strong, professional problem solving and solution building skills in this subject matter
- Has already been in this capacity and demonstrated the ability to work independently from customer success and other sales engineers and the ability to coach and mentor new hires as needed on this topic
- Experience having coached and trained channel partner sales teams on the product and solution
- Demonstrated good public speaking and writing skills expected from an expert in the field
- Strong computer skills in the use of Netstock, SalesForce and Zoom
- Strong sales skills
- Strong networking and motivating skills to engage partner channel staff
- Well organized and good written and speaking skills
- Be target driven and self-motivated to work independently
- Exceptional ability to demonstrate the Netstock inventory planning software online to a wide audience ranging from planners through to CEO of prospect businesses
