Your new role:
As Supervisor, Production at the Queensland Tissue Bank, you will lead the delivery and coordination of tissue production and manufacturing activities, ensuring the highest clinical and technical standards are maintained.
Supervise and support a small team of Health Practitioners and Clinical Assistants in the production and manufacturing of multiple tissue types, including ocular, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and skin tissues.
Provide expert clinical and technical advice on tissue recovery, production methods, and the implementation of new techniques.
Oversee production activities to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and quality standards.
Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and training programs to support best practice and continuous improvement.
About you:
You are an experienced clinical professional with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for advancing tissue banking services.
Possess a relevant degree in medical science, science, applied science or a related field, with postgraduate qualifications or substantial experience highly regarded.
Demonstrated expertise (or the ability to quickly acquire expertise) in tissue recovery and processing, including adherence to complex legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and lead a team effectively.
Committed to professional integrity, collaboration, and ongoing learning, with excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders in challenging circumstances.
