Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst

Position Summary:
As a Supply Chain Analyst at OSS Maritime Group ("OSS"), you will be instrumental in optimising the supply chain for vessel supplies, ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance for both routine (e.g., scheduled liner ships) and non-routine vessels. By harnessing data driven insights, you will enhance procurement, inventory management and logistics processes to support our global clientele. This role demands precision, analytical prowess and a deep commitment to maintaining OSS's reputation for reliability and excellence in the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyse purchasing, inventory, and delivery data to identifies, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery timelines, inventory turnover, supplier performance, and stock accuracy.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards for management decision-making.
- Forecast demand based on historical data and customer trends to support purchasing decisions.
- Prepare recommendations for procedures improvement and optimise operational efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.
Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Implement and maintain effective stock arrangement systems to ensure clear categorisation, FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology, and space optimisation.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure effective management on any discrepancies, damage, or safety breaches.
- Support inventory reconciliation and assist in internal audits.
Procurement & Supplier Analysis
- Analyse supplier pricing, lead times, and performance to support negotiation and sourcing strategies.
- Evaluate supplier compliance with OSS’ service standards.
- Assist in expanding the supplier base and logistics network through research and evaluation.
- Develop strategies and contingency plans to minimize risk of disruptions.
- Maintain and update approved supplier records.
Logistics & Operations Coordination
- Support logistics planning and delivery scheduling across in-house and third-party transport.
- Help track delivery performance, delays and customer feedback.
- Provide data support for compliance with AD 7.5, IMDG, ICAO/IATA, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Compliance
- Assist in routine ISO 9001 audits and compliance activities, preparing documentation and conducting internal reviews to uphold quality management standards for provision supply processes.
- Support document control and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) reviews to ensure robust and compliant supply chain protocols.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for licensed warehouse operations
Key Requirements:
- A Bachelor or higher degree in relevant field.
- 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or inventory analysis, ideally within the maritime or related industries.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, Australian licensed warehouse regulations, or maritime logistics is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 compliance processes and quality management systems.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Full Australian working rights required.
