Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) systems to extract key critical minerals. The technology we have developed is based on Maxi HDD rig platforms and offers a unique professional experience for competent and adaptable HDD professionals.
About the location
Iluka’s Balranald operation is located approximately two hours by road from Mildura in regional NSW.
You can choose to reside locally, drive-in drive-out from towns within the regional area, or fly-in fly-out from Melbourne.
For South Australian residents we will mobilise you via road transport from our Iluka office in Adelaide.
About the role
You will join one of 4x Extraction teams to cover our 24/7 operations. You will get exposure in deploying these platforms in conjunction with a technology not operated anywhere else. Thorough training will be delivered for our custom designed HK550 HDD rigs.
As a Supply Operator, you will be responsible for deploying equipment and consumables for each drill rig team. The primary responsibility of the Supply Operator is to transport and maintain drilling and mining equipment, ensuring the efficient rig operations.
This will include assisting the Mud Technician in preparing the drilling fluids, assisting the Drilling and Mining crews, maintaining and inspecting drill pipe and drilling equipment. The Supply operator will ensure records and cataloguing are undertaken for all drill rig equipment and consumables. You will also be responsible for washing and cleaning drill pipe, relocate pipe (in stillages) using a heavy forklift and on occasion relocate skid or trailer mounted equipment and buildings.
About you
- Experience in HDD or mining industry
- HR or HC desirable
- High Risk Work tickets; Forklift, Front End Loader, Dogging & Rigging, HR Truck Licence and Non-Slew Crane
