Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn’t be possible without great people - people just like you.
We are seeking a System Maintainer – Electrical working within the Asset Management Business Unit. This role is responsible for undertaking corrective and preventative maintenance to plant and equipment as necessary.
You will be required to:
- Deliver electrical maintenance activities that align with ASM Operating standards.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to assist others in improving operational practices such as statutory checking, work scheduling, corrective action, plant and equipment isolations and contractor management.
- Understand how electrical maintenance activities impact upon other areas of the organisation.
- Contribute to plant reliability though application of continuous improvement practices, problem solving and maintenance of appropriate work procedures and standards.
- Exercise optimal use of internal and external labour resources through accurate planning and specification of work and effective supervision.
- Knowledge of safety processes and procedures as they relate to a heavy industry/materials processing environment.
To be successful in the role ideally you will possess:
- QLD Electrical Fitter / Mechanic Licence is mandatory
- Commitment to safe maintenance practices and operating principles, superior planning, and organisational skills; and your ability to manage and co-ordinate contractors will be the key to your success in this role.
- Demonstrate a ‘team player’ mindset by actively supporting team goals, fostering trust and working cohesively with others to achieve shared success.
- Exhibit a proactive approach by maintaining a strong sense of urgency, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and priorities are addressed promptly.
- Heavy industrial experience, and or experience with CHPP’s, Open Cut Mining, Mobile plant equipment (eg. Stackers, Stacker Reclaimers, Ship Loaders) would be advantageous.
- PLC and VSD experience is desirable.
