The Role
This role sits within the firm’s Learning & Development function and will work closely with a range of internal stakeholders across IT, Knowledge, and Projects & Transformation. The Systems Trainer will be responsible for creating and facilitating systems training to new recruits and current employees nationally.
Duties of this role will include:
- delivering induction training to new starters on internal systems such as Aderant, Work 10 (iManage), pdfDocs, Microsoft Office applications, practice management systems, and other core legal applications;
- designing and facilitating ongoing systems training for current employees including refresher training, and training on system updates and new product releases;
- developing and maintaining systems training materials and manuals;
- assisting the L&D Manager to create and roll out a yearly national systems training calendar of events; and
- participating in L&D projects.
We are open to either part-time (3 or 4 days per week) or full-time candidates in either Brisbane or Sydney. As training will be run both virtually and face to face, some interstate travel will be required, though this won’t be extensive.
The Successful Candidate
This role will ideally suit a candidate with:
- previous experience in a Systems/IT training role however we are also open to candidates from a legal support background who have worked with similar systems;
- experience using precedent, billing and document management programs;
- advanced Microsoft Office knowledge;
- the desire and ability to learn new systems quickly;
- knowledge of best practice training methods and the ability to cater to different learning styles; and
- excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.
