This role is ideal for uni students studying Education or IT, looking for hands-on experience working with kids while building confidence and skills in tech and leadership.
Is this you?:
- Experienced or interested in working with kids aged 5-12
- Passionate about fields such as coding, minecraft, animation and creativity
- Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable
- Able to work approx 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school near you
- Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver
- Looking to get more experience for your resume and references one you graduate
You will be provided our easy-to-follow lesson plan (in coding, Minecraft, Robotics, Animation or other creative-tech program) to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children.
- Our Armadale location runs Tuesday afternoons during Term 4 (other days of work also available for the right candidate)
- Paid training provided as well as constant support from a our online tech-support team
- Staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use while teaching
Whilst we don’t require a specific degree or coding experience, you should have some or all of the following:
- Beginner knowledge, especially in coding (javascript or scratch) minecraft, robotics or animation
- Prior experience working with young kids (aged 5-12) as this role involves leading a class
- Mature outlook, common sense and the ability to supervise children
- Great customer service when speaking to school staff or parents
- Fluent conversational English
- Valid Working with Children Check
