About the role
Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate courses which meet the requirements of accredited courses and training packages to achieve the highest levels of program delivery in accordance with CSNSW policy, procedures and standards to contribute to the reduction of re-offending and increased community safety.
Contribute to the provision of vocational training programs delivered by the external education service provider in the Intensive Learning Centre.
About you
This is an Aboriginal Identified role.
You are an experienced teacher with the ability to engage adult learners who have invariably experienced educational and institutional barriers to learning.
You will meet the essential requirements above and be able to:
- Develop course outlines, lesson plans and teaching and assessment resources in line with the requirements of accredited course and training package qualifications
- Participate in evaluation processes including validation and moderation of assessment
- Maintain ethical practices in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Essential requirements
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role
- Bachelor’s degree in education or Graduate Diploma (or higher) in Education, and qualification (degree, diploma or certificate) in a discipline other than education
- Cert IV TAE40122 Training & Assessing or equivalent in or the ability to attain as such within 12 months of employment

Corrective Services NSW Intensive Learning Centres offer full time programs that aim to develop inmates’ language, literacy and numeracy skills, pro-social knowledge and attitudes to support individual change and enhance post-release employment opportunities. Intensive Learning Centres aim to provide 21st century learning opportunities for inmates in a supportive environment where intense, collaborative learning takes place.
Correctional Centres. Participants have the opportunity to achieve a full Certificate qualification at levels I and II from the Foundation Skills Training Package under the registered training organisation Adult Education and Vocational Training Institute (AEVTI - RTO code 7057).
