Position Information
Georges River College (GRC) Hurstville Campus is a vibrant educational setting focused on innovatively meeting the learning needs of students in Years 7-10. With an enrolment of 280 students and over 86% Non-English-Speaking Background, GRC Hurstville Campus works collaboratively with the other campuses making up GRC: Penshurst, Peakhurst and Oatley Senior Campuses.
GRC Hurstville Campus prioritises Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), ensuring the values of respect, responsibility and excellence underpin all school activities. A broad range of co-curricular programs integrate with classroom learning to strengthen student engagement in and out of the classroom. The Support Unit at GRC Hurstville Campus includes three classes for students identified as having autism spectrum disorder, as well as an AU/IO class.
The school has a dedicated staff who are committed to academic excellence and student wellbeing, employing evidence-based pedagogical practices to achieve these goals. High Impact Professional learning is at the centre of continually strengthening teacher practice and collective efficacy across the campus.
GRC Hurstville Campus has become co-educational, starting with Years 7 and 8 from 2025 and including Years 9 and 10 from 2026.

The successful applicant will be appointed to Georges River College and initially based at Hurstville Campus.
If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Library (Secondary) qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
