Perform the Dispatch Team Leader requirements to support our company’s intelligence/Allflex operations in our Brisbane, Australia manufacturing site, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Operational dispatch Team Leader role with a direct report of small team.
Appropriate organisation and timely dispatch of outbound goods is key to ensure we maintain customer expectations of manufacturing goods for operations, in a safe, efficient and high-quality manner.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Embed and promote a strong Safety culture in daily operations
- Supervise and coordinate team activities across departments, supporting the Logistics Manager as required
- Monitor order movements and ensure efficient, timely dispatch of export shipments with accurate paperwork
- Approve freight invoices promptly and manage freight consumables ordering
- Assist departments with customer enquiries, freight quotes and scheduling
- Maintain Aussieflex controls to support team efficiency (e.g. backordering, undelivered stock)
- Assign and monitor team output aligned with daily KPIs and customer demands
- Identify and address logistics procedural gaps to mitigate business risks
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews, provide feedback and manage talent development and training pathways
- Support recruitment, roster management, leave approvals and timesheet verification for permanent and contingent workers
- Lead remuneration reviews, calibrations and year-end HR processes
- Drive production KPIs including dispatch levels, yield and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies; proactively report hazards and incidents
- Plan operator rostering and rotations based on training and production schedules
- Complete production reports and maintain clear communication and records
- Facilitate conflict resolution and provide technical guidance and training across departments
- Participate in complex operational problem-solving and support production quality assurance
- Develop and maintain inspection reports; audit processes and ensure test equipment calibration
- Report quality anomalies, support containment actions and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Ensure dispatch systems comply with policy guidelines and are regularly updated
What You Must Have
- Proven experience managing teams in a production environment
- Expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Previous supervisory experience is ideal
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; SAP experience beneficial but not essential
- Exceptional time management, attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
- Advanced verbal, written and organisational skills
- Strong leadership with emotional intelligence, empathy, resilience and change agility
- Ability to collaborate across functions, demonstrating inclusivity and respect for diversity
- High ethical standards and integrity, ensuring responsible use of company assets and equipment
