About the Role
Our Terminal Operator will work across our three main sites in Brisbane (Pinkenba, Eagle Farm & Port of Brisbane) supporting wharf, marine and terminal operations to ensure that safe and reliable operations are maintained. Duties include meeting and supervising on-site contractors & visitors, monitoring and maintaining site integrity, identification of hazards and risks, general yard maintenance, administration and reporting. Working as part of a supportive team, each day differs but you will fully train in all aspect of the role including assisting in carrying out daily duties around the terminal. Lots of variety, working outside on the waterfront, bulk storage tank farm and in the office.
About You
Being a go-getter with a strong team-playing attitude is essential, as is a willingness to learn new things, great time management skills and solid organisational skills. No prior experience in shipping or fuel terminal operations is required, we will provide full training. What is required is a degree of flexibility to work a combination of day and night shifts, weekdays, and weekends. An eye for continuous improvement is a big plus as is an ability to use MS Office software. If you have previous experience working in high-risk environments this is desirable, as safety is always our number one priority.
