About the role
We are looking for an exceptional Test Analyst to join the Digital Marketplace and Supplier Hub team within Department of Government Services.
We are seeking an outstanding individual with proven experience in testing large-scale digital platforms within the government sector. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the functionality and reliability of our online application.
Your expertise in writing and executing software tests will be crucial to guarantee that new features and modifications perform as intended, aligning with usability, accuracy, and purpose.
About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of test design and execution methodologies within complex integrated program delivery landscapes.
- Showcase a track record of performing system, system integration, user acceptance testing, regression testing and product verification testing on intricate digital platforms. Display a knack for identifying application discrepancies and skillfully guiding them to successful resolutions.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, coupled with a proactive approach to issue identification. Display the capability to devise fitting recommendations and solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prove your ability to build and sustain relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are pivotal to this role.
- Apply your understanding of the VPS capability framework and relevant technical capability frameworks to align with essential knowledge, experience, skills, and personal capabilities required for this position.
Key accountabilities
- Develop comprehensive test cases that align with Digital Marketplace usage scenarios.
- Execute meticulous testing procedures on the Digital Marketplace while maintaining detailed logs.
- Create test plans, test cases, task cards, and supporting test data and requirements.
- Analyse and present concise reports on test outcomes, promptly escalating issues and risks to the Technical Lead.
- Actively contribute to team enhancement projects, encompassing tool optimization, process enhancements, and the implementation of test automation.
- Identify, document, and effectively manage defects, programming errors, and operational anomalies that deviate from specified requirements and design specifications
