About the Role
As a Therapy Assistant at Family First Therapy, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting children, teens, and young adults as they work towards their developmental, emotional, and functional goals. Based in Windsor, NSW, this independent contractor position involves working alongside our team to deliver high-quality, client-centred care. Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of individualised therapy programs developed by qualified clinicians.
- Assist with daily routines and activities that promote independence and participation.
- Work directly with clients to develop their skills and achieve functional goals.
- Document session observations, track client progress, and provide feedback to supervising therapists.
- Assist with preparing therapy resources and setting up engaging treatment spaces.
- Foster a playful, encouraging, and supportive environment that promotes client confidence and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with therapists and families to help maximise therapy outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant qualifications in Allied Health Assistance, Disability, or a related field – or experience supporting allied health professionals (including current Occupational Therapy university students).
- A warm, empathetic approach and a genuine interest in working with young people and their families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Strong organisational skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
- A team-oriented mindset and the ability to follow clinical guidance.
- Current driver’s licence and access to reliable transport (travel across home, school, or community settings may be required).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Contractor Requirements
As this is a contractor position, applicants must have:
- A current ABN (Australian Business Number)
- Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance

Job Type: Subcontract
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
