About this role, Make an Impact!
As a Timber Mill Hand Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Timber Mill Hands and Benchman to keep operations running smoothly. From sorting and processing timber to helping produce Cross Arms and custom-made Timber Pallets, your contribution will help ensure safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way.
As the Timber Mill hand in Maryborough, you will:
- Assist with all aspects of mill operations to meet customer orders
- Support quality control across production areas
- Sort and merchandise timber for further processing
- Process, pack, and prepare materials to fulfil order
- Help minimise material wastage and maintain a clean, safe workspace
What you can bring to the team:
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in timber mill operations or similar industry (desirable)
- Confidence using hand tools, drills, and basic equipment
Other requirements of the role:
- Possession of a current driver’s licence preferred
- Possession of a current Forklift licences/certificates are desirable but not essential
- Committed to undertaking the relevant Security Check(s) and to be issued with and hold Blue Card & Yellow Worker Screening Card during employment with Endeavour Foundation.
