About the Team
As part of the Electronic Solutions Team at Rheinmetall Defence, The Trade Assistant (Electronic), reports through to our Mission Equipment Production Technical Supervisor. The Electronics Solutions team is part of the global integrated team who work closely together to manage the program execution of the LAND 400 Phase 2 Contract with the Commonwealth of Australia, and assist with the capture of export markets in the Asia Pacific region. The Electronics Solutions team will expand as RDA continues to grow. This role is based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Ipswich.
About the Role
The Trades Assistant (Electronics) is responsible for assisting the Production Technicians with day to day generic workshop tasking, documentation and production (as assessed competent for) within the Electronics Solution department.
The general and generic duties of the Trades Assistant (Electronics) include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Production Technicians in production, testing and inspection of electrical/electronic mission equipment assemblies and automated test systems, as requested/authorized;
- Provide technical assistance to the technical team and management in generic day to day taskings related to workshop upkeep, production process and documentation;
- Assist Production Technicians in handling of routine customer issues;
- Assist Production Technicians with data entry into SAP; and
- Assist with monitoring and scheduling internal and external calibration/third party orders/services;
- Fulfil other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your team lead and manager as required.

- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
