About the role:
Northern Star Resources has an exciting leadership opportunity at our Thunderbox Operations for a dynamic and driven Electrical Leading Hand working FIFO ex Perth on 8 days on 6 days off rotation. The Electrical Leading Hand reports to the Electrical Supervisor, and the primary role is to assist in leading the electrical team in a safe and productive work environment by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet company safety & operational standards within the statutory standard.
Here's what awaits you…
- Carry out electrical activities on all Fixed Plant Equipment as directed, in a safe and efficient manner, whilst adhering to Company Standards, Policies and Procedures.
- Execute the work in accordance with the schedule, scope, quality standards and within agreed timeframes.
- Assist in the allocation of daily tasks for all the crew members when required provide input into electrical improvements of the processing plant.
- Assist in managing performance and productivity of the team, including coaching and development to employees of a lower level.
To thrive in this role, you'll need…
Experience: The successful applicant will have 4 years minimum experience in the Mining Industry with thorough understanding of fixed plant electrical principals & processing plant and their application in practice, strong leadership skills with ability to lead & foster team building.
Qualifications: Electrical trade qualification, A Grade Electrical Licence, LVR/CPR, First Aid, HV Switching ticket, Electrical Instrumentation Certification & Australian Driver's Licence
