Your new role:
As a Tradesperson - Trade Assistant, you will play an important part in supporting the maintenance and safe operation of Metro South Health facilities.
Working under the guidance of Trade Supervisors, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality maintenance services that keep our hospitals running smoothly.
Carry out planned and corrective maintenance activities across plant, infrastructure and equipment.
Support qualified tradespersons with repairs, installations, test and tagging, plantroom cleaning and water flushing tasks.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to prescribed quality standards.
Operate as an effective member of the Maintenance Services team, working across multiple Metro South Health facilities as required.
About you:

You will have the ability to deliver reliable results while contributing positively to the team and organisation.
Demonstrated experience in maintenance environments, with skills in test and tag activities and knowledge of safety standards.
Strong problem-solving ability, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively or independently under minimal supervision.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
