THE ROLE
Trainee Housing Services Officers provide housing assistance by sustaining tenancies, managing rental accounts and undertaking inspections in relation to responsive and vacated maintenance. Housing Services Officers are responsible for the delivery of these services via the Housing Advice and Assistance Team (HAAT) and Tenancy and Property Team (TPT).
This traineeship position provides a broad range of support functions to the Housing teams that assist public housing renters across metropolitan Melbourne. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and develop new skills and capabilities within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Undertake and complete a mandatory course of study - Short Course in Public Sector Service Delivery - through a registered training provider over the course of employment.
- Perform routine housing functions, including providing advice, from a range of established policy, procedures and standards.
- Assist in making appropriate referrals to internal or external support service providers in order to assist clients with their short-term housing needs.
