Description:
To perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
About The Role
As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, Primary Health Transport Driver supports community by picking up clients from a designated place and taking them safely to their medical appointments. Transport drivers will take patients home on completion of their appointments. In addition, this position will contribute to continual improvement projects with regards to patient safety, patient wait time, staff downtime and vehicle maintenance.
Duties
Transport Drivers are responsible for the day-to-day safety and cleanliness of their vehicle.
Route efficiency: patients are picked up and dropped off as per transport schedule.
Complete transport bookings in MMEx.
Clients are picked up on time, at the correct address.
Maintain positive relationships with community organisations, hospitals, and other stakeholders.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of ATSICHS Policy and procedures in line with AGPAL Accreditation Standards.

Benefits
Base salary of $60,197 per annum or $30.46 per hour.
Permanent Part time 12% Super + access to salary packaging (Increases your take home pay).
Casual is plus 25% of casual loading and 12% super.

COVID-19 Requirement
Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged.
Skills and Experiences:
Required
Current Driver’s License.
Current First Aid & CPR.
Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Previous experience as a Transport Driver.
National Police Certificate.
Driver's Licence.
Evidence of work rights.
Travel between work sites on a regular basis.
Travel to work in the community on a regular basis.
Immunisations.
Preferred
Transport experience in Primary Health setting.
Previous experience working with an electronic Patient Management System such as MMEx.
Demonstrated organisation skills, including an ability to multi-task, to plan, set and prioritise
