  • Adaptalift Group: Stable, values-driven business with growth potential

About Us:

Adaptalift Group is one of Australia's leading materials handling equipment hire and sales companies. With over 40 years of heritage as a family-owned and operated business, we've grown into a dynamic, values-driven national operation that’s passionate about excellence, innovation, and safety.

As we continue to expand, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Transport Manager to lead our national transport operations, ensuring superior customer service, compliance, efficiency, and growth across our transport fleet and supplier partnerships.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to our National Operations Manager of this business division, you’ll oversee all transport-related activities across VIC, NSW, and QLD. Leading a team of transport coordinators and drivers, your key focus areas will include:
  • People Leadership & Team Development:
Coach, lead, and inspire a team of drivers and coordinators, creating a cohesive, customer-centric, and high-performing environment. You'll proactively check in, provide guidance, and empower your team to meet clear KPIs.
  • Business Development & Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to grow profitability, efficiency, and service quality across our transport operations. You’ll engage with supplier partnerships, develop and enhance our transport applications and systems, and champion process improvements that reduce waste and maximise productivity.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
Actively manage and review supplier relationships, holding partners accountable to high standards of service, compliance (Chain of Responsibility) and cost-efficiency.
  • Operational & Fleet Management:
Oversee fleet utilisation, maintenance scheduling, compliance management, and daily route planning to deliver optimal service to customers.
What’s in This for You?

  • Leadership Opportunity: Take ownership of national transport operations, driving both strategic and operational outcomes.
  • Growth & Innovation: Play a pivotal role in growing a profitable part of the business, with autonomy to introduce efficiencies and continuous improvements.
  • Values-Driven Culture: Join a supportive, collaborative, and family-oriented team committed to innovation, customer satisfaction, and safety.
  • Career Development: Opportunity to shape this role and evolve professionally within a growing national business.
About You:

You are a motivated, proactive, and solution-focused leader who thrives in a dynamic environment. Your natural curiosity drives continuous improvement, and your experience empowers you to lead confidently and manage effectively.

You’ll bring:
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience managing transport or logistics teams, including drivers and vehicles.
  • Experience in the transport, logistics, or equipment rental industries will be highly regarded, although a truck licence is not required.
  • A proactive, curious mindset, committed to challenging the status quo to drive positive change.
  • Proven leadership maturity to strike the balance between providing guidance and maintaining accountability.
  • A strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, and associated transport compliance.
  • Experience managing and optimising third-party supplier relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A practical, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, underpinned by sound commercial judgment.
