While our Australian branch is new, we are part of an established global network. We seek to inspire and nurture individuals through the teachings of Jesus Christ, focusing especially on young people across Australia.
Role Overview: We are looking for passionate individuals who feel called to be part of our family and ministry team. As a Volunteer Pastoral Assistant, you will have the opportunity to serve, disciple, and mentor children, youth, and young adults in various environments, including schools, universities, workplaces, public spaces, hospitals, and church gatherings. This role is ideal for individuals with a heart for outreach and a desire to impact the next generation positively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in church services and programs, particularly those aimed at children and youth
- Engage with young people in schools, universities, and public areas to inspire and guide them in their spiritual growth
- Provide pastoral care and support in diverse community settings, including hospitals and workplaces
- Participate in church-led discipleship programs, Bible studies, and prayer meetings
- Share personal experiences and insights to coach and encourage young believers
- Work alongside church leadership to foster a supportive, family-oriented church environment
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to grow the ministry’s outreach and impact in Australia
Ideal Candidate:
- Has a strong commitment to living as a disciple of Jesus Christ and a passion for ministry
- Experience in pastoral care, youth mentorship, or ministry (formal experience is welcome but not essential)
- Demonstrates a caring, approachable, and understanding nature, particularly with young people
- Willing to volunteer time and energy to help build and support our growing church community
- Eager to work in a multicultural church setting with a vision of raising societal leaders
- Open to being part of a dedicated team in a close-knit, family-style church community
