What You'll be Doing
To provide safe and efficient transport of patients throughout the hospital Health services to wards, medical appointments in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Ensure hygienic and efficient cleaning standards are in-line with infection prevention policy and procedures.
Assist the Department Manager in the efficient and effective operation of the Central Ward Orderly Service.
To provide transport of patient related equipment throughout the hospital.
Transfer, admission, viewing and discharge of the decease to or at the Mortuary and other locations within the Hospital in accordance with the relevant Policy and Procedure.
Attend Emergency Calls in accordance with the relevant Policy and Procedure. E.G. MET Call Assist, Stroke codes-trauma calls, Obstetrics Code Red and Yellow, Aggressive Patient Emergencies include Code 7 MHU, Helicopter Landings and Fire Alarms.
Provide clinical support including assisting the Nursing Staff with Patient Care according to the relevant Policy and Procedure.
